2002 Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicant must be enrolled in good standing as an undergraduate or graduate
student attending an accredited college or university in the United States or its territories
sometime between 01-Aug-2002 and 01-Feb-2003.
- Applicant must be a legal resident of the United States. International students with valid
visas are also eligible.
- Applicant cannot be a relative or friend of a Best Web Buys employee.
- Applicant must complete and submit an online application form through the
Best Book Buys ®
website by 15-Dec-2002. Applications submitted by email or postal mail will
not be accepted.
Past winners are not eligible.
One application allowed per person.
2002 Contest Rules:
Judges will look for essays that are articulate, compelling, well organized and use
correct spelling and grammar. The decision of the judges will be final.
- Essays must not exceed 500 words.
- Best Book Buys will not award scholarships to applicants who do not meet eligibility
requirements.
- All information on the application must be accurate and complete.
- Essays must be the original work of the applicant.
- The scholarship will be paid directly to the winner. Payment of awards will be contingent
upon receipt of verification that the applicant meets all of the eligibility requirements.
- Best Book Buys scholarships are awarded without regard to race, sex, religion, age, or
national origin.
- All submitted book recommendations and essays become the property of Best Web Buys, Inc.
and may be used for publicity, publication, or as content for the Best Web Buys web site.
Applicants' names may also be used for publicity purposes.
- Winners will be notified by email or mail by 25-Feb-2003. Winners will be announced
on the Best Book Buys website on 11-Mar-2003.
