The following are the most likely causes of the problem:

Real-Time Store is Timing Out - Even though most of our price information is stored in our database and updated nightly, we still search some stores in real-time. It is possible that one of our real-time member stores is timing out or otherwise causing a delay.
Database Problem - On rare occasions, our database encounters problems from which it cannot recover. We have installed redundant database servers to reduce downtime, but we still encounter problems from time to time. The average time to recover from a serious database error is about 20 minutes.
